is this a trend I've missed?

Two toned paint jobs on cars? This one was beautifully painted and detailed out. It's not a mistake. Normally it's a look you see when someone has replaced a smashed part and can't afford the full paint job. But here it's what they wanted. I'm not thrilled by the color choice, but I kind of like the idea. We see it in shoes, why not cars? Let's see if it catches on.
