The best comfort food out there in my humble opinion, is a grilled cheese sandwhich. My husband makes them perfectly. Crispy, crunchy outside, the cheese hot and fluid inside. He puts a fair amount of butter on the bread to achieve the desired, grilled texture. And the cheese he uses is high quality, medium cheddar from Tillamook. I don't have them often because, well, they're pretty fatty and sinful. But when I do, all is right with the world.
