LA is bright

and sunny and warm and, best of all, not here. It's rained for 40 days straight this winter, so it's not surprising that it was good to get away. What I love about LA and SoCal is that they can get away with using really bright color on buildings. It's the light. Or something like that. Regardless, it just lifts the spirits. Ha!

really, I'm listening!

I just returned from a conference which was pretty good though inevitably there were times when a less interesting presenter droned on. When that happens, I doodle. I've done it since I was a young kid in school and have filled countless margins of notebook pads with these random line drawings. I obviously still do it today, in meetings or when I'm on the phone, creating a graphic example of my wandering mind. Either that's kind of cool or it means I now have a permanent record of all the times I should have been paying more attention. Hm.
