As a textile designer in a former life, I am still totally besotted by pattern. I see pattern everywhere. In the garden, on the street, hell, I even see it as a metaphor for life (but that's a post for another time). In the meantime, I'm always grabbing vintage prints at garage sales, second hand stores, swap meets. I buy way more hand printed cards than I'll ever send, because I'm in love with the great prints on them. And luckily to date, I've been able to resist the strong urge to buy entire sets of patterned tableware that I don't need, but want just the same.
Prints and pattern seem to be back with a vengeance. An absolutely great resource for seeing lot's of examples of this pattern phenom is the terrific blog print and pattern which I found thanks to paperlily. And another one of my favorites for print and pattern groove, with especially good home furnishing examples is the great blog, design sponge. So much great pattern to choose from makes me, for one, very happy.
I found these patterns at a couple of 2nd hand stores recently.

I love these patterns. I'm also always amazed by the beautiful patterns featured on 'print & pattern' and d*s. I can't get enough.
