Yesterday I went to a local craft sale that I'd been to the year before. This year was really great and I was happy to see that one of my favorites from before, was there again. Last year I discovered these amazing felt ornaments by the artist junko iijima. In addition to these holiday delights, junko's sculpture is wonderful. Her bronze forms "demonstrate the melding of cultural signifiers through commodities, creating hybrids of past and present, east and west." They are truly beautiful objects, steeped in story and meaning. So lovely!
