My background is in textile design. I fell in love with textiles as a child. The patterns printed on them, and the patterns constructed with them. I have a soft spot in my heart for quilts in particular, though I have to admit that it is rare that I really like a contemporary design. But there are a few quilt artists that I do really like and ian hundley is one on the top of my list. His use of color, skill in crafting and the very modern feel of a fractured urban landscape each depicts, all add up to something very refreshing in the world of quilts. In so many ways, his quilts make me happy.
