I find the work of leif palmquist really suprising and refreshing. The ribbon like linework, reminiscent of calligraphy forms and the delicate circular motifs, add up to a bold yet finessed language. And the generous amount of fresh, white ground left for these shapes to float across, makes this piece feel rich and confident to me. I love it.
