I recently discovered the incredible designer stig lindberg's ceramic pattern work, as in colored, motifed, graphic pattern work on simple, white, flat dishes and vases. I loved it so much I tracked down a catalog from the recent swedish national museum's exhibit of his work. What an amazing catalog and a must have in any library focused on design and pattern. Leafing through the incredible catalog, I came across these ceramic beauties that he was also responsible for designing. Oh my goodness. The forms! The color! The patterns! So modern! Love, love, love!
