Easter is coming. I love easter. Symbolic of new beginnings. Eggs, rabbits, spring flowers. I think it's my favorite of the holidays. There'll probably be a few more posts about the icons of easter like this fabulous image from a past show at rose and radish, so be warned.

julie evans show.

About a month ago I wrote about the incredible work of the artist julie evans. Man do I love it! Well, she very kindly contacted me after my post, and offered to send me a catalog of her upcoming show. It arrived a couple of days ago, much to my joy. Oh my, what an amazing body of work and what a show to see. For those of you lucky folks living in New York, definitely check this one out at the julie saul gallery March 29th-May 5th. I think her work is really remarkable...so run, don't walk to see it if you can.

Very nice dishcloth pattern from atelier lzc from rose and radish. Nothing like a bright new set of dishtowels to freshen up a tired, winter kitchen. Bring in the spring with a set of these!

hiroko kurihara.

I recently purchased this wonderful, soft, 100% wool scarf from branch by the textile designer hiroko kurihara. The scarf itself is a beauty and the story behind it is even better. For every scarf, blanket or pillow bought from their company, a blanket or scarf made from recycled polar fleece is given to a person who is homeless or in transition. Beauty and giving back. It doesn't get much better than that.

My dear friend amy has just launched her new, fabulous greeting card and paper company, goosey press. Can I say how much I love these shoes from jimmy choo. They are perfection. The silhouette, the hollywood regency print, the colorway, the sweet little ankle strap. Not going to get them, but still want them. To-ho-tally fabulous.

I really like the painted drawings of animals by ramsey arnaoot. Totally great!

heather moore pattern.

One of my all time favorite tools for making a pattern design, is the exacto knife. I love the line it creates, the cleaness, the crispness. It's a line that is hard to achieve through drawing because it's built not rendered. Cut. So I think that's why I love this cork pattern by the talented heather moore so much. Isn't it just fabulous?
