This is not a new image of a new chandelier. It's the breathtaking 2003 cascade chandelier that architect vincent van duysen did for swarovski. I was cleaning out some files yesterday and stumbled across some tears I'd saved of it and was thrilled all over again. I love the absolute indulgence of this chandelier. The gradiosity, the simplicity, the unbridled confidence that it represents. This is no delicate tribute to baroque sensitivity. It's gutsy and powerful. And did I mention, stunningly beautiful too?
