when are you too old for leggings?

This is a perfect outfit, via the wonderful blog, the sartorialist. I absolutely love it. I love the leggings with the happy, printed dress with the simple, perfect, ballet slippers. Oh I wonder, when is a person too old to sport this look? Does it look like you're holding onto youth, when it's really time to just move on? Even if you can wear something, should you?

I think about this stuff, really.

I absolutely love this outfit, and there is definitely not an age limit to wearing leggings. I always thought that you had to be older in order to pull off this look. HOWEVER I went to The Limited the other day and picked up a dress somewhat like this that I plan on wearing to my grad party this summer. haha. :)

As for the question of should you.. when it comes to this outfit, yes. It's casual yet sophisticated. Purely wonderful.
