Oh I so love the work of kent rogowski, all of which can be seen in his new book bears. There is something so familiar and charming about these beautifully re-constructed toys. Truth be told, I also feel a bit sad and disturbed by them. When I showed the book to a friend, she said she loved them because they reminded her of all the toys her dogs had destroyed and I think that's it for me too. There's a sweetness about them in their "post destruction", that makes them both noble, and a bit pathetic at the same time. They're pretty fantastic I'd say!
