"Artiste extraordinaire" is how ann tracy was described in an email from a kind reader recently and I couldn't agree more. I love the vibrant, energized color and muscled up patterns and motifs in her work. There is a compelling clash between the pretty and decorative with the raw and frenetic here. When I first saw her paintings I was reminded a bit of the work of hundertwasser but the modern energy of graffiti also came to mind too. Mm, what a wonderful find!
