I'm really liking the simple and fresh collage work of gretchen wagoner. The contemporary and hip subject matter she chooses is nicely complimented by the confident use of many types of material. I'm loving that she's incorporating the wood panel patterning of the collage surface into the work itself, adding to the wonderful richness and texture of the collage. And each piece has a strong sense of story about it which leaves me imagining what the narrative might be. Lovely indeed!
