Aren't the photograph/drawing/pattern combinations from virginie sannier totally fresh and compelling? I love her focus on botanical forms and shadows on walls and everyday things, all interperted simply, with black lines and dots. I like that I am keenly aware of a particular person's point of view and vision when I see her work. It's singular and confident, neither of which is easy to achieve in art, or life for that matter.
