I simply love the work of robert rahway zakanitch. At once so innocent and sophisticated, decorative and weighty. There's a wonderful studied nonchalance about the technique he uses, drippy and raw, with scribbled notes jotted around the canvas. I love the energy and mood of this work, so modern and nostalgic all at the same time.
