Wow, am I ever loving the paintings on paper by douglas florian. It's so exciting to see studies of an idea, a thought being pushed and noodled and played with. And then to see them together as a collective, compounding story as it's presented on his site, well that's an added treat. I can imagine 4 or 5 of these pieces, framed exactly the same and hung on a big, clean, white wall. Bam, hello joy!

Douglas Florian (if it's the same person) also makes beautiful childrens books. One is called "A Pig Is Big" and its pretty hysterical- with, of course, lovely illustrations.
