brooks salzwedel.

Tangled
I'm loving the milky, misty beauty of the work of brooks salzwedel. Having lived much of my life in the misty northwest, these lovely graphite and resin pieces ring so very true of the light and feel of the forest. And also true to the forest in modern times, much of the work frames the tension of the natural beauty and majesty in constant threat of harvest and destruction by humans. Rich with story and ideas these stunning pieces are brought to life with an interesting mix of media and an undeniable skill. What wonderful work indeed.
