The use of common materials, what's garbage to most of us, is partly what I find so intriguing about the work of tony feher. Tape, used water bottles, tangles of string all come together to form a new way to think about shape, color and line. But it's also the undeniable skill and eye that make these pieces so successful and beautiful to me. Repurposing waste, smart compositions and color palettes, even the creation of something from "nothing" are all such a modern themes many artists explore today. A relevant idea undoubtedly, but in reality such a difficult thing to actually pull off so well!
