clemintina van der walt.

I am totally gaga for these ceramic pieces by clementina van der walt. The hand made forms and the dusty, dry patina of the unglazed surfaces juxtaposed with the muted shine and color of the glazed elements make me happy. And don't get me started on the lovely illustrations that grace the cups, plates and bowls she creates. As is so often the case in art, the single pieces are remarkable in their own right, and in a collection of many, they're breathtaking. Sigh!
