This is one of the best video's I've seen about art. It doesn't hurt that it's featuring one of my favorite artists today, beatriz milhazes. But what's so lovely in this particular video is the fact that she shares some of the process' she uses to make her art as well as explaining her love of paint and collage and color. I felt like I walked away from this video with a deeper insight and understanding into this exceptional artists work, as well as some universal truths about art in general. I totally loved it!

I was reading through the moments that mattered article from last weeks nytimes magazine yesterday and checked out this video below after reading starlee kine's review. Lion heart seems to have been viewed by over 17 million people but for some reason I missed it, so I admit I'm late to the party. Regardless, it's very sweet and moving (yes, tears were streaming down my face when I saw it the first time. Ok, the second time too), speaking about kindness, connection and love in it's purest form. The version below is extra sentimental because of the whitney houston sound track so if you want to see one without the croon that also tells a little bit more of the story, go here.
