I had the happy opportunity to see these drop dead gorgeous photographs by mary chomenko hinckley in person a few months back. With a big format and incredible color, they had a surprising liveliness and reverence about them, all at the same time. Very powerful indeed, thanks in great part to their scale and compelling juxtaposition of graphic pattern and the beauty of birds.
Randy and I were in Portland and saw this show. We were bowled over, charmed, and rejuvenated. How rare to see something so fresh and appealing. I glad you liked them :)
