Yikes, these mixed media (mud cloth, buttons, sand, wood) pieces by jeff perrone are totally stunning. Geometric, beautifully composed and colored, they feel modern and primal all at the same time. I can't say enough about how much I'm drawn to them.

I'm loving these assemblages by dirk stewen. There's a stillness and quiet confidence about them that's incredibly seductive. And oh, the color palettes. All so very wonderful!

illumination give-away.

I'm always amazed by the kindness of my readers. It's one of the things I love most about blogging. Well thanks to the kindness of one particular reader, another dear ada reader will also benefit from some of that kindness. So here we go folks, the first ever dear ada give-away. Reader hayley has very kindly offered up the catalogue, illumination from the orange county museum exhibit that includes agnes martin, georgia o'keefe, agnes pelton and florence miller pierce. How wonderful is that?
