I love these simple, raw floral paintings by sam mcewen. The color palettes are amazing, dull neutrals mixed with eye popping brights. Just gorgeous!

Thank you, thank you to the wonderful design for mankind for introducing me to the breathtaking work of ky anderson. How much do I love it, oh let me count the ways. The color palettes, so narrow yet rich. The strange and beautiful motifs, so mysterious and yet friendly. And yes the compositions too, each particular to the painting itself yet also so clearly part of a larger narrative. True love, yes indeed!

claudio tschopp.

 

I love claudio tschopp's paintings. I was lucky enough to purchase one his wonderful pieces at the cascade aids fund raiser a few years back. The strong use of the material, the rich energy in the brush work, the amazing color palettes are undeniable. The deeper narrative of his work is what's more mysterious and intriguing. I never get tired of looking at his work, drawn in by the strength of each piece separately and together, I'm always happy to stay for a while to see what I might learn.

Yeah, these paintings by timothy mcdowell are close to perfection as far as I'm concerned. Patterned and translucently layered, their story is one of a very mysterious and evocative nature. And don't get me started on their stunning, subdued color palettes. Oh happy, happy monday indeed!

I'm loving these moody, rich landscapes by brad durham. Hazy and warm they feel like the light of a hot summer dawn or dusk. Lovely and sophisticated.
