I was diagnosed within a week of your date. Same month, same year. We are diagnosis sisters :)

I don't know the exact date in April, but I am in April of 1980. I take time in April to pat myself on the back for a job mostly well done and for all of the hard work done.
Celebrate or not, we have done a good job so far.

Congratulations on your D-anniversary! Sounds like you are doing exceptionally well- good for you! :) Hope you continue to have many, many happy, healthy years and, perhaps, someday in the future dealing with Diabetes will be a thing of the past. :)

I've been reading your site for a while, and have finally decided to post a comment. Congrats on your anniversary, and bravo on not having any complications. Maybe someday soon that bad news will no longer be a problem. :-)

Cheers to successfully marking 21 years of good health and strength. I was diagnosed in 1986, too ... just a few months after you.
