Look at the great work by the Canadian artist paul butler. There is so much terrific work to pick from that I don't know where to begin. I saw some today in real life, and was immediately drawn to the strange "anti-clutter" of his work. Where collages are often frenetic and vibrating because of the clash of disparate things, Butler's work feels more about removal and obliteration. They totally slay me!
He has a book called my mad skillz which can be found at plug in under publications. I'm snatching one up as soon as I'm done typing.
