The absolutely breathtaking exhibit, a century of collage at the elizabeth leach gallery ranks as one of my top 10 favorites of all time. Wow! My only regret is that a catalog wasn't made to chronicle this skillfully curated show. Each piece featured is remarkable in it's own right, but it's the collective impact of the group work that took my breath away. From joseph cornell to jack pierson, kiki smith to antoinio puleo, robert motherwell to paul butler, this show truly lives up to it's name, beautifully framing up a century of collage from beginning to end. I have to admit that I actually left the gallery with tears in my eyes.
