(Valentine's Day is coming and though it's uncool to, you know, outright ask for what you want, I'm going to post about a "trend" I've been noticing, with the vague hope, that someone might find it useful as the 14th approaches...)
I've always loved rocks. The primordial, raw kind as opposed to the sparkly ones you wear on your fingers. Crystals found in thundereggs, quartz-like stones, gems you find at places like ed's house of gems. I have a number of great quartzy like rocks from there, in a surprising range of colors from white and black to copper and grey and even yellow. And I'm seeing more rocks lately. It seems like they're showing up a lot in art and design, like this beauty above, painted by ryan jacob smith. Wouldn't that look great on a wall? Or, how about these really groovy quartz candle holders from source perrier which could be so fabulous next to a bathtub for example? Yes, it's an exciting trend, that I for one, am all for (in case someone in particular is listening...ha)
These are beautiful and your site is full of inspiration and ideas. (I came via Little Fish Creations.) Thanks so much.
