I've only won a couple of auctions on ebay. I'm not aggressive enough I guess. I'm also not particularly attentive it seems.
So I fell in love with this totally fabulous pattern on the china designed by raymond loewy for rosenthal, thanks to my great friend Kitty. I quickly became obsessed with getting more of it, saw what I thought was a tea set on ebay and bid like a mad woman. Imagine my surprise when actually I won the much coveted set. Imagine my further surprise, when it finally arrived, and I discovered that it was half the size I'd expected. In my fervor to win, I never actually read the dimensions, and low and behold it turned out that the set I'd victoriously purchased, was for chocolate not tea. Who knew it would make such a difference in the size? Obviously not me, but I still love it so much. And really when push comes to shove, I find chocolate preferable to tea anyway. Ha.
that's something I recognize! I also tend to do that with stuff on Ebay: just going blind and wanting to have it! Particularly stupid when you buy a vintage dress or something an think: "Ah, it'll surely fit", and it just doesn't at all...
I visit your site for the first time and really enjoy what I see!
