A new chapter.

It's been nearly 5 years since I began writing dear ada. Some 3,100+ posts later, I find myself at a crossroad. What started out as a love letter to a dear friend, over time has also became a personal exploration and celebration of amazing art and artists throughout the world. This blog has turned out to be a wonderful journey where I've "met" such lovely people, all of whom share a deep love and appreciation for art in the world. It has been such a joyful ride. 

Also, in the process of writing dear ada, I found a new energy and desire to make art again. Inspired by all the amazing work I've found over the years, I started to make my own art after a very long hiatus. And what a wonderful and joyful gift that has turned out to be. I think that the real Ada would have been very happy with that outcome indeed. I know she would have been encouraging me and celebrating my making of new art every step of the way. Maybe in fact, that's exactly what she's been doing, as I've written this blog, and written to her, almost every day for the last 5 years. Yes, I think she'd be quite pleased with how it's all turned out.

Which brings me to a difficult but also exciting decision. As I enter into a new chapter of my life, one that has brought a wonderful new job my way as well as a lovely gallery that now represents my work and has put on my first real show, I have decided to end dear ada (at least for now). Though I've loved every minute of writing this blog, it feels like it's time for me to focus on different things in my life. 

So a quick thank you to all the kind readers who have been a part of this journey with me! I am forever grateful for your kind words and shared enthusiasm for all the amazing art and craft and creativity in the world! I sincerely hope that you have wonderful days ahead filled with art and beauty!
