I've been thinking a lot lately about what normal is. Thanks for bringing me back to this again. I feel like this a lot. Normal. Overwhelmed by unrelenting stress. Even and then normal. The cycles of my life!

I can see the value in both words.

My first thoughts though, about diabetes, is that it is almost always work for me. Whereas breathing, for example, just happens.

In fact, I've often described living with diabetes being like having to remember to breath - to direct some mental energy towards the process of inhaling and exhaling. In short time, that would get pretty tiresome. Also, to some degree, it would get normal after a while. A background process.
